Another half member of a duo, Hubert Eaves III, who with James 'D Train' Williams were
D-Train in the 80s, has a new album, "Drops, Vol. 1" which he has dedicated to his late father (R.I.P. 2021).
The initial standout is "Jah (Made Her For Me)" and also includes his version
of Thelonius Monk's jazz standard "Round Midnight".
Keyboardist Eaves began in the 70s working as a session musician with
Mtume. He released a debut album "Esoteric Funk" in 1977 and of course went on to have several hits with D-Train in the 80s.
