A single, "It's Love" ,by Zonke & YORK from a forthcoming album "the early tapes" due on 27 Oct. The album is essentially her first album "Soulitary" recorded in Germany and released by Columbia in Germany, Italy and Japan
in 2004.
Two other singles have already been released, "Wena Wedwa" (1 Sep) and "Someday" (18 Aug) which we have also included below.
Zonke Dikana is a South African singer, songwriter, producer,
who debuted in 2006 and rose to fame with her third album "Ina Ethe" in 2011. Both her parents were musicians, her father a drummer and mother a
singer. To date she's released five albums, her last being "L.O.V.E." in 2018.
YORK is York Ostermayer a saxophonist / flautist from Bremen who has worked with Randy Crawford and
Phil Collins and was a member of Jazzkantine (later named Culture Clan) for
who Zonke wrote a song "Africa My Motherland" for their 2003 "Africa" album. They went on to
write together from Zonke's "Soulitary" album.
