If you've been around the block any length of time then the name Dee C. Lee
(Diane Sealy) will be familiar to you as a member of Wham and later The
Style Council. In fact she married the Mod father Paul Weller in 1987 but
they divorced in 1998.
Her singing career began even earlier than that with the London band
Central Line as Dee Sealy in 1981. Dee has also supported Animal Nightlife and the
Blow Monkeys amongst others.
Acid Jazz are releasing a double A side single from her on vinyl on 20 Oct but it will be available digitally on Friday (29 Sep). The
lead side "Don't Forget About Love" is co-written by Dee with Mike McEvoy and Ernest McKone. The other side
is a cover of
Renee Geyer's "Be There In The Morning". It's Dee's first new music for 25 years.
