A big club tune from 1985 by Curtis Hairston, "I Want Your Lovin'", gets the John Morales touch with a set of extended M&M remixes due out on Friday (22 Sep). The radio edit was released on 8 Sep.
Hairtson was a member of B.B.& Q. Band prior to his solo career and
he wrote this song with Ray Barretto Jr (the son of Latin Jazzman Ray
Barretto) and Greg Radford a former member of The Kay-Gees.
Hairston released just one self-titled, solo album in 1986. Backing singers included Jocelyn Brown, Barbara Pennington and Alyson Williams. Wiki states that Luther Vandross also provided backing vocals but if he did he is not credited on the album!
An expanded version of the album was released digitally in Aug '22 which includes extended remixes, especially of his biggie "The Morning After".
Hairston died in 1996 aged only 34.
