This new song is based on / inspired by Heat's 1980 two-stepper "This Love That We
Found" from their self-titled debut album on MCA in 1980, also
released as a single edit retitled "Baby (This Love That We
Found)".
The arranger and sax player Tom Saviano, who wrote the song with lead vocalist Jean Marie Arnold, contacted Bill Dowling who listened to the album and loved this track and set about writing a new song around it called "(Put Your) Trust In Love". The vocalist is Jevon McGlory from Chino, CA.
The Horn Engine is a project produced by Saviano and Dowling based in L.A. They have released two previous singles, "Let Me Stay" (Sep '21) and "The World Above" (Nov '21) both featuring Devyn Rush.
