We've been following the music of 38 year old LaTasha Lee for several years, first
coming across her on YouTube where she released videos for her independently released music (which now seem to have been removed).
She's from Texas and caught the attention of producer Salih Williams in 2006 aged 21 and signed
for his Carnival Beats label. In 2012 she made the last 50 of The X Factor
and the following year released her debut, self-titled, album Latasha Lee & The
BlackTies.
LaTasha was recently signed to Industry Music Group in Rialto, CA, where she released her
debut for the label, a cover of The Lovation's "I Don't Want You" in March on Bandcamp and then gained wider release, including on vinyl with an instrumental flip, in April.
Her second single for the label is "We Got A Good Thing" released today along with a music video for it. Whilst it has her familiar retro vibe, we believe that it's an original,
self-written, song.
