A new version of Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose 1972 evergreen "Too
Late to Turn Back Now" by Portland's Andy Stokes, with the
title shortened to "Turn Back Now", was released on Saturday (15 Jul).
There are many covers of the song and we did a 'version excursion' on it a few years back
Stokes was a member of 80s group Cool'r who consisted of Stokes and three former members of Pleasure (Bruce Carter, Douglas Lewis, Nathaniel Phillips) who released two
albums in 1986 and 1989. Pleasure were mentored and produced by The Crusaders' trombonist Wayne Henderson.
He went solo in the 90s releasing his debut solo album "About Time" in 1995 and has released another two projects "Full Circle" in 2015 and "Now" in 2018.
