Tyrone Lee [2023] - Soul N Samba (Michele Chiavarini Remix) [SPRY Records]

Tyrone Lee's five track EP "Memories Of Brazil" released in Feb made some wave, particularly for the track "Soul n Samba" which has been released today as a single with a set of three remixes by Michele Chiavarini.

Tyrone Lee Henry is from London and began by singing in church from an early age. He's performed background vocals for many UK mainstream artists such as Take That's Gary Barlow, Peter Andre, Blur, Leona Lewis, Robert Palmer, M-People, Heather Small, Emeli Sande, and West Life  as well as Meat Loaf and Joe Thomas. He was also a lead vocalist for renowned jazz funk outfit Incognito.

He released his debut solo album, "Invitation" on Expansion in 2013 and it topped the UK Soul Chart in Jan 2014. A couple of tracks from it have featured on Luxury Soul compilations ,"Get 2 Know U" in 2014 and "Listening To Your Heart" in 2016. A reimagined verson of "Fall 4 U" appears on the new EP.

As well as an artist, Tyrone has also penned songs on various dance music projects including for The So Solid Crew’s Lisa Mafia’s solo album which resulted in Tyrone's first top 20 hit in the national chart.

Since 2009 Tyrone has been the lead vocalist in the international hit musical "Thriller Live" which, as I'm sure you can surmise from the title, is a musical based on the music of Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5. The show has now toured in 33 countries.
