We can never get 'too much' of the song that catapulted the career of
Luther Vandross, even after a full 42 years since it's initial release. So
when it's used as the base for a new soulful house recording "1000 Kisses" by Chocolates Spread, Oscar P, Keith Thompson then it demands at least being listening to.
"Never Too Much" was Luther's first R&B #1 and crossover hit (#33 Hot 100) in Aug
1981 but he would have to wait another five years for his next chart
topper. It was even a minor UK pop chart hit peaking at #44 but that was
almost two years later in March 1983.
According to Traxsource, this version is released on Friday (30 Jun) but
has already been uploaded to Bandcamp on 2 Jun but the full five mixes
will set you back $20 and only slightly less on Traxsource (i.e. 5 x
$2.49). It'll probably be £4.95 for the five mixes when released on Amazon / iTunes on
Friday!
