The Moontown Project are originally from Kingston, SW
London, now based in Leeds where they have been studying Music
Production.
They have just released their tenth single "Saw The Stars" since their first in July 2020, all released on New Malden based
label Stogey Records.
Their latest single is a perfect example of their signature sound which
combines elements of alternative, pop, indie-soul, funk, nu-disco and
nu-electronica. The song is a nu-disco, funk-infused summer anthem recorded in a live studio session which features a funky bassline and energetic guitar riffs with wandering synth lines and horns that add to its summery, feel-good vibe.
The core members are Will Swain-Smith (vocals/ guitar) and Guy Molony (keys/ bass/vocals)
with other musicians drafted in. The new single
features Roxanne Cavaye who released a four track EP "The Venus In Scorpio" in
2019.
