Having now released three singes from it, the standout being the duet
with Musiq Soulchild "The Gym", Angie Stone's new album, "Love Language", is out today. It is her tenth solo album and first since "Full Circle" in 2019.
Based on two of the three singles ("Kiss You" and "Good Man"), we were not expecting too much but are pleasantly surprised that there are several other standout tracks such
as "Love Is Real", "All I Need", "Love The Feeling" and "High" in particular. All in all a good set as the title track "Love Language" is also a grower.
We learned recently that the health of 61 year old Ms Stone,
who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 1999, is not in best shape. She appeared in the UK earlier this year.
Her career began with The Sequence on Sugar Hill Records as a teenager in
