We had hoped that we had caught up with most of the best releases over
the Easter vacation but still more are coming out of the woodwork.
The second release from the newly founded,
Liverpool based, Baltic Jazz Recordings and incidentally also the
second release from Ni Maxine who is also from Liverpool. You may recall the first being Lois Levin with a jazz interpretation of The Clash "Should I Stay Or Should I Go".
In fact the label has once again plundered the 80s songbook and, if you are of a certain age, then you may recognise the song "Changing Every Day" as it was written and recorded by Culture Club on their "Colour By Numbers" album in 1983. It should come as no big surprise when you learn that Culture Club producer Steve Levine is involved with the label and produced the first single.
