Jungle Fire is an eight piece Afro/Latin Funk band from L.A. conceived
in 2011 consisting of Steve Haney (percussion), Alberto Lopez,
(percussion), Sam Halterman (drums), Joey Reina (bass), Sam Robles
(baritone sax / flute), Sean Billings (trumpet) Judson McDaniel (guitar)
and Patrick Bailey (guitar).
They get their inspiration from the music of Afro, Latin and Funk legends
such as Irakere, Ray Barretto, James Brown, Fela Kuti and Manu Dibango
amongst others.
To date they have released three albums, three EPs and a batch of
singles approximating 13. Their latest single is "Together" paired with a frantic cover of Brass Construction's 1976 #1 R&B hit "Movin'" (which they have retitled "Movin' On") for a 7" vinyl release on 24 Mar but both are also available
digitally with "Together" released on 24 Feb and "Movin' On" on 14 Mar
'23.
