Moonchild's Amber Navran is a busy girl, having featured
on Jalisa's album ("I'm Not Really Sure...") last month, she also features on six tracks on the
latest 9th Wonder album "Zion VIII". The clear standout is a rendition of Anita Baker's "Will You Be Mine" (from "The Songstress" 1983), shortened to "Be Mine". I reckon "Take A Look" samples Gladys Knight & The Pips' "Bourgie Bourgie" or it sounds very like it?
9th Wonder is a Grammy Award Winning Producer, DJ, College Lecturer,
and Social Activist Patrick Denard Douthit from Winston-Salem, NC. He
has been making Hip-Hop beats since 2002 beginning with a remix album
of Nas' 2002 album "God's Son" titled "God's Stepson".
Being introduced to hip-hop in 1982 he
immersed himself into it and formed a hip-hop trio Little Brother in 1998 who
released and album "The Listening" in 2003. Douthit left in
2007.
We've selected just the first six tracks as the remining 34 (yes 34
as 40 tracks in total) are mainly just beats.
