Johnny Britt, formerly of Impromp2, has a new single out today (10 Feb 2023) in
time for Valentine's Day. It's a collaboration with the Will Downing, titled "Butterflies", and is from a forthcoming album "After We Play" due on 17 Mar 2023. Will Downing's new album, his 26th, "Pieces" is also out today.

Britt's musical journey began in Cleveland, OH, when he picked up the
trumpet aged 12. He is a classically-trained Jazz trumpet player
studying at the prestigious Conservatoire de Versailles in Paris and
has become a Grammy nominated composer writing for, and collaborating
with, many smooth jazz artists (he has written three #1 hits for Boney
          James).

Upon completing his studies in Paris, Johnny returned to the US and
continued his studies in Chicago where he met Otis Williams who hired
him as the youngest ever musical director for The Temptations which
led him to be the co-music producer for the Emmy-winning miniseries
          "The Temptations".

He later moved to L.A. and formed Impromp2 with Sean Thomas in 1993 who signed to with Motown's MoJazz
label in 1995 releasing four albums which blended hip hop, soul and
jazz after which he decided to go it alone. As a solo artist he has,
to date, released four albums between 2012-20.
