Angie Stone released her first new material for several
years yesterday with a Valentines Day single "Kiss You". You may recognise the intro sample as Harold Melvin's & The Blue
Notes' "I Miss You".
We did a profile on Angie in December so if you're interested in learning
more about her then we'll refer you to that
article.
In summary she first recorded at the end of then 70s as a member of The
Sequence on Sylvia Robinson's Sugar Hill Records, and was a member of
several groups until she broke through as a solo artist with her debut
solo album "Black Diamond" in 1999. She is now in her fifth decade of
recording.
