Dennis Taylor [2022] - It's Over (The Nigel Lowis Mix) [Dome]

Dennis Taylor returns with another of the favourites from his 2002 Dome album "Steppin'". Co-written by his producers Darryl James and Fred McFarlane together with Brooke Richardson, "It’s Over" is now given a new 2022 reinterpretation by producer/remixer Nigel Lowis.

An updated edition of his "Best of Dennis Taylor" is due on 30 Sep 2022 which will include new mixes of several of his most loved cuts.

This single comes in two sizes the full 5:53 version "The Nigel Lowis Mix" and a 3:53 radio edit "The Nigel Lowis Edit Version".

Maxine Scott x Alf​.​E [2022] - Ya Energy EP [Ramrock #RRB014]

Nu Jazz artist Maxine Scott made a bit if noise with her last single "Eryka  U Bad". Her follow up on Jo Wallace and Ashley Beedle's Ramrock label is "Ya Energy" which was posted from Bandcamp on 29 Jul but got a wider release yesterday (26 Aug 2022).

It includes the original mix along with another three mixes (North Street West Vocal Remix,  North Street West Dub and North Street West Instrumental).

The beats for the new single were provided by Alf.E and Maxine wrote the lyrics for them in 20 minutes.

Jo, Ashley and the third member of The North Street West crew, Darren Morris, created the remixes.

Jacob Banks [2022] - Lies About The War [Nobody Records] (Full Album)

Jacob Banks is a Nigerian born singer/songwriter from Birmingham (UK) who debuted in 2013 with an album "The Monologue" which gained him much acclaim and he subsequently supported Emeli Sandé, Sam Smith and Alicia Keys on UK tours.

Hr released a gospel sounding single "By Design (Evel Knievel)" on 10 Jun 2022 is from his then forthcoming, fifth, album "Lies About The War" which was released yesterday (26 Aug 2022).  "Bang" was released as a single the day before the album release and "Just When I Thought" in March.

He has a very original voice which reminds me very much of UK's Samm Henshaw and Gabriels.
