Dave Mascall is back after a short absence this year serving up a slice of 125 BPM Latino House "Back To Scat" which is full of piano montuno, Latin brass section, trumpets, percussion with some scat vocals and the added bonus of some great guitar from the man himself.

As normal, with Dave's releases, they are only available directly from DaveMascallMusic.com

Dave Mascall is from Southend (UK) and is a versatile guitarist and a prolific composer and producer often collaborating with other like minded vocalists and instrumentalists.

He began playing guitar at the age of 14 inspired by Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore and the like, but changed direction when he witnessed the late Joe Pass on TV and started to develop his jazz playing skills. He now cites George Benson, Larry Carlton and Lee Ritenour as influences.

His first professional music work began in Canada and then returning to the UK he played guitar with vocalist Jackson Sloan in Rent Party, Graeme Culham big band, alto sax player John Pugh and jazz/funk/fusion band Export with brass player Graham Hunter. He then spent subsequent years completing the line up of various different bands and at the same time performing with visiting American soul artists, notably: Junior Walker, Jean Carn, Terry Callier, GC Cameron (Detroit Spinners), The Trammps, Randy Brown, Harvey Scales, The Contours, Betty Levette and many more.

He stood in for smooth jazz artist Peter White for a brief period playing in the backing band with top latin percussionist Snowboy for ex Matt Bianco singer, Basia. He has toured at home and abroad with Sister Sledge, George McCrae, Boney M, Odyssey, The Drifters and others and and has also worked with jazz and soul singer Lol Williams of Down To Earth and has played shows with The Commitments and the Real Thing.

The last few years Dave has been prolific with six ACID LOUNGE albums.
