Having released a break up song "Long Gone" on 7 Oct '22, Claire Davis is due to release "Times Have Changed" digitally on Friday (18 Oct) which will be paired with "Long Gone" on a 7" vinyl release by LRK Records (available to pre-order for release on 30 Nov).
It will be the Toronto singer's third vinyl release on the label
since a couple of tracks were released from her debut solo EP "Thrive" last year (the title track and "Playground") which she followed teaming up with The HP's on "Hope To See You Again" / "Better Days" in Jul 2022.
Ms Davis is working on her ten track debut album "Get It Right" which is scheduled for Spring 2023.
Whilst here first solo material arrived in 2021, Claire is no
newcomer having performed as lead singer with seven-piece Toronto funk
band YUKA and featured on two albums "From Then Ancients" (2014) and "Dreamscapes" (2019) known then as Claire Doyle. They performed with The
Dap-Kings and Lee Fields and Claire has sung background vocals for
Sharon Jones, Jully Black and Martha Reeves as well as up and coming
Toronto artists Charlotte Day Wilson and Jessie
Reyez.
