Berkeley, CA, based singer-songwriter Luqman Frank has been a fixture of
the San Francisco Bay Area music scene for the past decade. He has performed
with artists such as Carlos Santana, Yolanda Adams, Pete Escovedo, Narada
Michael Walden, Ledisi, Bill Ortiz (Santana), Cornell C.C Carter amongst
many others.
He is putting the finishing touches to his twelve track debut album "The
Light of the Sun" which will include all six singles released so far since
Feb 2022: "Gonna Be Alright" (Feb '22), "Never" (Apr '22), "Light Of The
Sun" (May '22), "All My Love" (Jun '22), "Bring Your Love" (Jul '22) and his
current single "Baby Come Home" released today (17 Oct 2022).
The album is produced and co-writer Quincy B. Griffin and is inspired by
their shared love of 70s soul legends Al Green and Curtis Mayfield so you
won't be surprised by the retro sweet soul sound.
A quick dip into Discogs reveals that he has featured on recordings by
Miquel Migs and on backing vocals for Kelly Finnigan's "The Tales
People Tell" album in 2019.
