Scotland's LF System are at it again revamping a 70s tune
like they did with Silk they have now turned on a 1976 in-demander by Sandy's Gang "Hungry" written by Patrick Adams and Fay Hauser. It was a 7" only but was
reissued in 2004 with a Sean P extended edit (included below).
As with their #1 pop hit sample of Silk's "I Can't Stop" they have upped the
tempo and given it more of a club/house feel. It seems a bit of an unusual
choice because, as far as I'm aware, the Sandy's Gang tune isn't 'that' well
known, but then nor was Silk to a mainstream audience!
It has been posted mainly to expose the original version. Old soul boys and girls may have views on this but at least a younger generation is exploring some lesser know 70s/80s soul recordings which may bring them to a wider audience, as their first single was a sample of Main Ingredient's "Party People" (1981) written by one Luther Vandross!

I suppose it would be too much to expect "LF System" to write and produce their own music? Sad days indeed. I still haven't forgiven them for murdering the Silk classic.
