The new single released yesterday (15 Sep 2022) from STR4TA "Turn Me Around" is a throwback sound to the early/mid 80s Brit jazz funk scene
think Freeez, Atmosfear, Light of The World, Incognito, The Warriors and Beggar
& Co.
It's not that surprising when you consider Jean-Paul 'Bluey' Maunick and
Peter Hinds who are involved in the project were both in a few of those bands
(i.e. Atmosfear, Light of The World, The Warriors, Incognito).
The single is from STR4TA's forthcoming sophomore album "STR4TASFEAR" due on 11 Nov 2022. Another two tracks have already been released as
singles "Night Flight" (15 Jun) and "When You Call" (8 Apr).
The album has some guest artists up it's sleeve in the guise of Omar, Theo
Coker (guesting on two tracks), Emma-Jean Thackray, Valerie Etienne and Brighton duo Anushka on a new take on their single "Bad Weather". If you remember there were a number of STR4TA remixes on the original
release.
