Snoop Dogg dropped a new album last week "Metaverse: The NFT Drop, Vol. 2" which it seems many of us missed. Unlike his last, it is predominantly
what we've come to expect from the dude i.e. hip-hop, but there are a
couple of soulful tracks.
The first is "Hotline" featuring once again October London with the second being "Paid My Dues" which features an incredible uncredited female vocalist. With a bit
of digging I discovered that it is actually the same song as "Cold Game" released in 2011 on "Doggumentary" (included below) and features Latoiya Williams. The song samples "Gilly Hines" from Mandrill's 1978 album "We Are One" which is were the 70's vibe comes from!
I considered just posting those tracks as apart from "Sunshine (Covid Song)" and the R&B track "Live How You Want" (with an uncredited male vocal) the remainder is all hi-hop.
