Jenevieve is from Miama, now living in L.A., and burst onto the scene in Feb 2020 with the release of her debut
single "Medallion" which was posted along with a couple of tracks ("Baby Powder", "Eternal" and "Résumé") a year ago.
I noticed this time around that Hubert Laws is amongst the writers credits for "Medallion", so it must be using a sample from one of his songs, could it be the bassline from "Family" perhaps?
She released her debut album "Division" in Sep 2021 and has subsequently released a Deluxe version in Jan 2022 with four additional tracks, three of them remixes of other tracks i.e. "Nxwhere", "Baby Powder" and "Medallion" along with a cover of Phil Collins' "Against All Odds".
Jenevieve has a new EP "Rendezvous" in the pipeline.
