A couple of versions of Willie Hutch penned "I'm Gonna Stay". Hutch recorded it on his "Mark Of The Beast" album in 1974 and it only got a 7" single issue in Italy.
Charles Drain covered it on his only album, "Dependable", in 1976 and it saw a 7" release on RCA.
This post was inspired by hearing Roger Williams spin Willie Hutch's
version on a live radio show this afternoon.
A five part feature on the music of
Willie Hutch
was posted last year but we never need another excuse to post his
music.

Although Willie Hutch being a major Soul artist, my preference for this track goes to Charles Drain taken from his magnificent and unfortunately only LP.
