Sharen Clark & The Product Of Time were from Memphis and
cut two singles on East St Louis label Yodi in the early 70s: "I'm Not Afraid Of Love" / "Mama Did't Lie (Sho Come True)" in 1971 (which also saw a release ABC-Paramount subsidiary label Apt in
1972) with "That's A Good Reason" / "It's Not Your Business" following in 1972.
Numero Group has reissued all four Yodi sides as a four track digital EP
today (7 Jul 2022).
It is/was believed that Sharen Clark was also a member of Sharon & The
Bits O' Honey who recorded "Was I Really Made For Love" / "Don't Push My
Lovecup Aside (Lovecup)" on Penthouse in 1975, however I believe that is
actually Sharon Ishman of The Teques who recorded "Don't Push My Love Cup
Aside" in 1969. The vocals and song styles are quite similar so you can understand the connection/assumption.
