The title of the song drew me into listening to this release. The
classic Daryl Hall & John Oates ballad "Sara Smile" from 1975. This is a jazz guitar instrumental version by Majorcan
Ramón Caubet. A nice lazy summery vibe which won't set the world on fire
but a good enough reason to post a couple of other versions.
We may as well have the original. Secondhandsongs lists 50 different
versions and Northern Soul legend J.J. Barnes did the first cover in 1977
which was released on John Abbey's (Blues & Soul) Contempo label and
shortly afterwards he recorded another cover on the label of Ace's "How
Long". He also recorded an album for the label titled "Sara Smile" which
contained both.
