It is being reported today that legendary (in soul and disco circles)
      producer Patrick Adams. has died.
In 1970 Adams joined Perception/Today as A&R vice president where he
discovered Black Ivory who's lead singer was Leroy Burgess. He wrote for
and produced other Today artists such as Debbie Taylor, Odds & Ends
and Julius Brockington as well as J.J. Barnes on Perception.
He left in 1974 to create his own production company PAPMUS and produced
many artists loved on the UK rare soul scene such as Executive Suite,
Mayberry Movement, Four Below Zero, Sister Sledge, Al Hudson & The
Soul Partners, Ace Spectrum, Pete Warner, Fantastic Puzzles, Continental
      Four and many others.
He created a number of studio groups producing disco/dance records from
the mid 70s such as Cloud One "Atmosphere Strut",
Caress "I Can't Let You Walk Away",
Dazzle "You Dazzle Me!!" etc, Inner Life (Jocelyn Brown) "I'm Caught Up", Musique "In The
Bush", Phreek "Weekend", Personal Touch /
Donna McGhee / Rainbow Brown "It Ain't No
Big Thing", Daybreak / Main Ingredient "Everything
Man". These are just the tip of the iceberg as he was responsible for
      producing 22 albums between 1978-82.
The video below is a long watch but very worthwhile if you can afford the
time. There is also a detailed article of his career available on Red Bull Music Academy.
The last post he made on his
        facebook
page on 13 Jun 2021 was this. I couldn't possibly comment!

By way of a tribute I've put together a playlist of some of his better
        known 70s productions.
