For Philly and glitter ball lovers everywhere, Nigel Lowis presents
Soul City Connection with five mixes of a Lowis penned and produced, song titled "Brotherly Love".
As you will know, Philadelphia is known as the city of brotherly love and
this has captured that mid 70s TSOP (The Sound Of Philadelphia) vibe
ala MFSB and later The Salsoul Orchestra from Vince Montana, Bobby Eli,
Earl Young & co. Whilst The Salsoul Orchestra was NYC based it
consisted of many ex members of MFSB who were disenchanted with financial
arrangements with Gamble & Huff.
In demand writer/producer/mixer and all round good guy, Nigel Lowis, who
has been involved with global sales of over 16 million records and has
just returned from sessions in the home of southern soul, Memphis, TN, has
pulled another one off here.
There is a straight radio edit and extended mix along with three Jamie 3:26 & Danou P South Street Soul Strut Versions, a radio edit, extended and dub. I'm not sure whether there is an error in uploading to DSPs as the radio edit and extended are the same lengths i.e. 7:43 and not 3:26?
