The Dip is a seven-piece blue-eyed soul ensemble from Seattle, WA, who debuted in 2015 with a self-titled album which saw a vinyl
release on Colemine in 2020 as did their sophomore album "The Dip
Delivers". They released their third album "Sticking With It" yesterday (4 Mar 2022).
It will most likely have the purists squirming in their seats but I do quite
like the mellower tunes such as "Anyway","Eye To Eye" and "Yellowfinger" (an instrumental). There are also a few tracks which have a blue-eyed/poppy
neo Northern Soul feel ("When You Lose Someone", "Apollonia" and, to a lesser extent, "Vacation", but overall it has a pop/blues/country retro feel with what looks like an 80s' style
sleeve image(?).
