Global:Soul Showcase @ Jazz Cafe, London. Sunday 10th April 2022


Hot on the heels of their last event at The Night Owl on 18 Feb, Global Soul is hosting a showcase event at the Jazz Cafe, Camden Town on 10 April 2022 from 7pm-10pm (GMT).

Artists appearing are Ruby Francis, fika, Victoria Jane, Kara Marni and Raquel Martins, all except Victoria have featured on the blog in the last twelve months.

Tickets are available from Eventbrite (and TicketWeb) which start at £10 (£5 super earlybird now all sold) which, let's face it, is a give away for seeing five artists! Earlybird £10, Advance £15 and  Standard £20 plus fees and tax. The earlier you book the cheaper it is!

Kara Marni 24 year old North Londoner of Greek descent has built a strong fan base in recent years since her first release in 2017. She had a You Tube Video go viral and was quickly signed up by established management team and signed to a label. Her recent releases 'Trippin' has proved one of her most popular tracks to date. 

Ruby Francis often described as the UKs answer to SZA we are celebrating the release of her second Album 'Archives' which is self-produced. She has enjoyed much support from and championed by Jamz Supernova. In 2018 she released her debut Album in Japan where she also enjoys a strong fan base.
 
Fika a hot London based production duo who recently signed to Tru Thoughts have just released their debut EP 'Coffee & Clouds' and have already achieved critical acclaim having worked with the likes of El Train, Fabich, Bambie Thug, Jackson Mathod, edbl, Cam Bloomfield, Benedict Quinn and Sami Switch. Their most popular track to date 'High' has had several million streams following on from huge support from Global Soul, BBC radio and Rinse FM. 

Victoria Jane 23 year old singer from Manchester supported by Gilles Peterson having recently done a Brownswood Basment session and featured in the Future Bubblers series. She recently released an EP 'Golden Hour'. She recently secured her own BBC Radio 1 show 'Future Soul' the first radio show on the BBC to focus on supporting emerging Soul Artists and in that role as presenter and curator she will not only performing but also hosting the showcase.

Raquel Martins a 21 year old highly regarded guitarist on the circuit who is part of Poppy Ajudha's band and played for the Global Soul house band several times is also an extremely talented singer songwriter in her own right. She moved to London aged 17 years old from Portugal and has just released her debut EP 'The Way' which has already achieved critical acclaim from the likes of Gilles Peterson for whom she recorded a Brownswood Basement session recently.
