Possibly one of my favourite Thelma Houston tracks has just got it's
first 7" vinyl release flipped with, as far as I can recall, her only tune
played on the talcumed floors (Northern Soul scene).
The two sides being released on vinyl by Expansion are her 1972 non
North American LP only track "Nothing Left To Give" from her MoWest
self-titled album along with her debut 1966 single on Capitol "Baby
Mine".
"Nothing Left To Give" has been previously posted and also appeared on the recent Soul Brother compilation "The Wants List 5".
Houston had a US #1 with a cover of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, Gamble & Huff penned, song "Don't Leave Me This Way" which she covered on Tamla at the same time in 1976.
Available from your favourite vinyl stockist e,g Simply Soul
