A now independent artist, Maysa (Leak) from Baltimore, MD, is preparing her fourteenth album "Music For Your Soul" for release later this year which will be her first on her own
independent label Blue Velvet. A double-sided single from it "Make Sure You're Sure" / "Just Say" is scheduled for release on 11 Feb 2022.
"Make Sure You're Sure" is a smooth jazz rendition of a Stevie Wonder song from the 1991
"Jungle Fever" movie soundtrack on which she performed as a member of
Wonder's backing group Wonderlove, whilst "Just Say" is a self-penned song.
Maysa debuted in 1995 with a self-titled album and has released an
album virtually every couple of years since but this will be her first
album since "Love Is A Battlefield" 2017 which was her ninth album for
Shanachie since 2006.
Prior to her first solo album Maysa was a member of Wonderlove and in
1992 she moved to London to join Incognito before returning to Baltimore
to record her solo debut, however, she continued to perform and record
with Incognito.
Whilst I was looking for a link to her YouTube channel I came a across a
video of a live performance with Phil Perry of a track from her 2015 album
"Back2Love", "Last Chance For Love" ... so why not as I don't need much persuasion to post Phil Perry
singing and what a combination they are together!

Thanks for posting. I'm so glad to be promoting this, Maysa is always a class act.
