It is finally here, the album that caused a stir last Autumn. Down To Earth's "Still Ridin' High" reached the top of several UK soul charts and stayed there for a
number of weeks. It entered the UK Soul Chart at #2 on 27 Sep 2021 (just
two weeks after release on 10 Sep) and was #1 the following week and
stayed at the top for two weeks and spent a further six weeks on the
chart before their nine week run on the chart ended on 29 Nov
2021.
The vinyl release is due out on 25 Feb 2022 with pre-orders being
taken now at £22, so if you want one get your order in to Izipho Soul because as per
usual they are limited edition available on either black or gold
vinyl.
A nice touch for the vinyl release is separating the tracks over two sides
as "The Meat Side" (the uptempo tunes) and "The Sweet Side" for the
mellower tracks. A couple of tracks have been dropped from the originally
album, presumably to fit on vinyl, "For You" and "Naturally Dte Remix"
If you wish to learn a little more about Lol Williams and Stevie Paul who
make up Down To Earth then check out the original post for the album
HERE. Also, whilst they were 'Still Ridin' High' on the charts they were
interviewed by Gary Van Den Bussche.
