D'Mott is pastor and gospel singer De'Juaine Glen Motley
from Buffalo, NY, who has performed with a long list of established
artists. He released a debut album "Unbothered" last year (Mar 2021) which consists of six original sogs which he
was co-writer on with various other writers and a cover of Percy sledge's
When A Man Loves A Woman.
His latest, and what appears to be his first, single is another cover,
this time of L.T.D.'s classic "Love Ballad" which is pretty faithful to L.T.D.'s (Jeffrey Osborne's) 1976 original rather than George Benson's
more uptempo 1979 version which is possibly the better known version. The Skip Scarborough song has been covered many times but not as many as you would think as SecondHandSongs lists only thirteen. I'm sure there must be more than that as Jeffrey Osborne did a solo version in 1999 on "That's For Sure" that isn't listed for starters?
