I came across the album "Vulnerable" by Nikkole (Hall) last Friday (5 Nov 2021) on release
and skimmed through the 22 tracks and felt that the majority of the
album was too pop oriented to post. Having now re-visited it, there are
a few tracks worth posting. So rather than posting the full album here
are the more soul related efforts.
The album was produced by
Leon Sylvers who was with his family group The Sylvers and went on to produce
albums for the likes of Lakeside, Shalamar, Dynasty, The Whispers,
Dynasty and Carrie Lucas.
Nikkole is no newcomer, she featured on Norman Brown's "Stay With
Me" album in 2007 on the track "Your Keep Lifting Me Higher" (included below) which she co-wrote with Brown and Lloyd Tolbert.
However, her career goes back further than that as her debut album
"Appearances" was released in 2001 (funded by being a model and a backing
vocalist) and "Vulnerable" is her fifth album to date.
