You may not have heard of 20 year old Aiyana-Lee (Anderson) but she is from a
musical heritage as her grandfather was Jimmy Ruffin who of course was the older brother of David Ruffin.
Her father was Jimmie Raynard Ruffin (Ray Ruffin) who worked with UK pop group Blue. Her mother is Nicole Daciana Anderson who is also her manger and is a songwriter. She is in the Guinness Book of World Records for writing "If You Come Back" for Blue as it was #1 for 13 weeks in 13 countries. Her father produced Blue's first album "All Rise" on which the song first appeared.
Ray Ruffin died (heart attack) before her grandfather on 5 Mar 2013 aged 47, Jimmy Ruffin died 17 Nov 2014 aged 78.
Aiyana-Lee has released her third single "Gangster of Love" on 19 Nov 2021.
I'm afraid her two earlier singles are very pop oriented, as is this one
to an extent really, but undoubtedly it shows off her powerful
pipes, just imagine what she could do with a more soulful song!
