Soul Strutter: Adele [2021] - 30 [Sony] (Full Album)

I am almost certain that this post will attract 'rolled eyes' and condescending attitudes from the die-hards, but to be perfectly honest I don't care as I listen to music without prejudice. It seems ridiculous to me that so-called soul listeners will probably ignore this album. It is currently #1 on the Amazon R&B Hot New Releases.

I don't quite understand those who are happy to listen to tracks by unknown Sade sound-a-like, auto-tuned, white singers and claim that it is 'neo soul' yet knock established artists just for the fact that they are.

So I'm going to post the new album by one of the biggest talents ever produced in the UK ... yes Adele (Adkins). Yes there are some pop tunes on the album but surely you cannot deny that at least these three tracks are soulful "My Little Love", "Cry Your Heart Out" and "Love Is A Game". Another respected 'soulie' also likes "All Night Parking" and "To Be Loved".

In my view if "Cry Your Heart Out "was 'discovered' on a 60s or 70s vinyl 45 by an unknown artist it would be hailed as a one of the biggest 'discoveries' in years on the rare soul scene!

All this 'elitist' nonsense needs to stop, just listen without prejudice. The same people refuse to play Silk Sonic which for me is undoubtedly one of the best albums of the year.
