If Cornell CC Carter's new album "Next Life" is 'flying off the shelves'
and getting airplay at the same rate as it has been viewed on this blog
then I would guess he is almost certainly assured a #1 spot on the UK Soul
Charts in the coming weeks.
Looking at the blog's current viewing figures I would
estimate that the album is likely to be #2 on The SoulStrutter Top 20
tomorrow and by next week will probably take over the top spot from Down
To Earth.
Cornell was interviewed last Tuesday (5 Oct 2021) by Gary Van Den
Bussche on Starpoint radio and Gary has posted a podcast of the interview
which I listened to last night and thought it well worth sharing.
Also during the week Cornell uploaded a video for one of the choice cuts
from the album, the Curtis Mayfield / Marvin Gaye influenced "The
Moment".
