Mint Condition member
Stokley's second solo album "Sankofa" (following "Introducing Stokley" released in 2017) was released today (17 Sep 2021) which leans a bit more towards R&B than soul.  "Cascade" Feat. The Bonfyre was the first single released from it way back in
      January.
The selected tracks are "Slip", "Lost" is quite a nice R&B flavoured ballad on which I think he
sounds quite like Rahsaan Patterson in places and Jeopardy:Verbalizer (featuring Snoop Dogg) has been added after listening again as I skipped it first time 'assuming' it was going to be rap!
Stokley (Williams) was not only the lead singer and drummer for Mint
Condition for almost a quarter of a century, he was/is also a session
musician who has appeared on many albums for other artists (you can view
an exhaustive list on his wiki page (link below)). I think his landmark
moment must have been providing handclaps for Sounds Of Blackness on
Optimistic. I think they must have tried him out on handclaps before
entrusting him with the drum sticks for Pressure on their Evolution Of
      Gospel album in 1991!
