Acacia Grace [2021] - Vulnerable [Self Released] (Full EP)

I've lost count of the number of new artists I've come across in the last week. Here's yet another, Acacia Grace with her debut six track EP "Vulnerable" which includes her only two singles which were both released in April this year.

She hails from Washington D.C. but is now located in L.A. and cites her influences as Maysa (Leak), Leela James, Lalah Hathaway and Rachelle Farell which is good enough for me!

Her music I would describe as on the jazzy side of soulful. The standout track is "Pleasantly Surprised' in which the horns remind me of Tower Of Power "It Really Doesn't Matter" (albeit slowed down) which was a tune picked up on by UK modern soul scene from their 1997 "Rhythm & Business" album.
