Boy it's hard work trying to find decent new material today, there is
simply not the usual quality around for a Friday! I'm having to dig really
deep without a lot of joy. So much so that I've had to go back a couple of
weeks for this post of an album released on 23 Jul 2021 from a
Filipina-American girl group named One Vo1ce who were
founded in the mid 90s. They disbanded in 2005 and reformed in 2009.
The trio consists of Monica Castillo, Anne "Marie" Ceralvo and
Edna "Mae" Ceralvo (who I presume are sisters). The majority of the
tracks were written by Anne "Marie" Ceralvo.
Their latest album is "ISO" and the track that drew me to it is curiously titled "Chubby Feet" which is possibly the only 'good' track on the album. "Eternal
Sunshine", for some reason, reminds me of America/John Edwards "Tin Man"
as it starts. "Joy & Disgust" isn't a bad track. Maybe my ears are getting tired listening to so many
tracks today trying to find something good enough to post, but the album
sounds very 'samey', so I can't really distinguish anything else worth
recommending.
