"You Know How To Make Me Feel So Good" is a Philly classic originally recorded by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes
featuring Sharon Paige on "Wake Up Everybody" in 1975. It was also
released on 45 as flip to "Tell The World How I Feel About 'Cha Baby" and
was billed as Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes featuring Theodore Pendergrass and Sharon
Paige. The billing was an attempt by Melvin to appease Teddy P. who already
had one foot out of the door and left the group not long afterwards.
The song was released in 2019 by The Legendary Blue Notes Feat.
Sugarbear & Jean Carne. They were supported by the Ingram family. Butch
Ingram seems to have reactivated his Philly label Society Hill in recent
years and he has decided to remix this track and re-release it on 22 Jul
2021.
Collins & Collins covered it on their self-titled 1980 album. The only
other versions I am aware of are two reggae versions. the first by Ruddy
Thomas & Susan Cadogan on Island (7"
&
12") in 1982 and a 2020 re-recorded version by Cadogan for an album "Hurts So Good Storybook Revisited".
