At the end of April I posted the
title track
from DeRobert & The Half-Truth's then forthcoming album which is now
released on 4 Jun 2021. "100 Yard Dash" c/w "It's All The Time" were released as a 7" single back then.
It's another of those where you question whether it's an album or EP? I
would classify it as an EP as there are only seven tracks and two of
those are interludes of less than a minute long.
All five tracks are pretty good and will appeal to traditionalists. I
would say that two tracks are neo Northern Soul ("100 Yard Dash" &
"Mind Your Own Business"), one a crossover style tune ("Flaws And All"),
another is quite funky "It's All The Time" and the last one "Walk Forward"
is more tricky to pigeon-hole, some would say crossover, others mid-tempo
Northern, with others saying it's neither, regardless, I think it may be my favourite track alongside "Flaws And All".
