A new single from B. Slade released 25 May 2021 (the video below was released 30 May). It starts off
as a real 60s throwback reminding me of the intro to Etta James' classic "At
Last". It's a deep and gospel infused ballad.
The song is intended as an anthem for a movement called "I Am A Man (2k)" dedicated to help eradicate the marginalization and emasculation of African American men.
Lovers of real, deep and gospel soul will love this. What a set of pipes
this guy has with gritty and raspy vocals. I love this and could listen to
him sing all day long.
His real name is Anthony Charles Williams II from San Diego, CA. He
has been around since 1994 using many different stage names in his
career such as Tonex, T.Bizzy, T.Boy and LeMar Jackson but changed it to B. Slade in 2010
after the character Brian Slade from the 1998 music movie "Velvet
Goldmine".
