It's that time of the week when the 'newbies' dry up, so it'll probably
be a partly retro day today.
To kick things off here's a tracklist put together of new Northern
Soul/Crossover tracks. The criteria are that they must all be new songs,
not covers, reissues or unreleased vintage tracks, that have a retro NS/XO
feel and have been released in the last twelve months.
For example Alexander Morris' version of Ronnie McNeir's 'Isn't She A
Pretty Girl', unfortunately doesn't qualify as it's obviously a new cover
version, Eddie Holman 'Ready Willing & Able' is an unreleased vintage
track and reissues speak for themselves.
Also, as it's a Spotify playlist, they must have been released digitally
and be available on Spotify - I know that's an anachronism for many, but
welcome to the 21st century! I've cobbled together about 18 tracks so far
(71 mins). There are probably some I've missed or forgotten about, so if
you feel something should be included then please leave a comment and, if
it meets the criteria, I'll add it.
