Dawkins & Dawkins [2021] - In My Feelings [Legacy Music Group]

Contemporary, urban gospel from veterans Anson & Eric Dawkins who at one time were members of Commissioned, but went solo in 1992. They have a new (?) single released 14 May 2021 by Legacy Music, so is it something that's been in the can a while?

I have to confess, it's not really my 'cup o' tea' as it's a bit too R&B oriented for me.

    1. We were not "Face members" but we were part of the band and toured with them playing keys, drum programming, and singing bgvs. I hope this clears up any confusion.

  2. Well according to their Spotify profile (written by themselves) they claim they were!:

"Brothers Anson and Eric Dawkins began their gospel performing careers as children, teaming with their mother in a trio that appeared at revivals headlined by their father, a Pentecostal preacher. As teens, also learned piano, while Anson studied drums and trumpet; they both ultimately joined the band before breaking away as Dawkins & Dawkins in 1992, signing to the Benson label to record their self-titled debut LP, a fusion of contemporary gospel with overtones of rap and R&B. Necessary Measures followed in 1994, and after a lengthy hiatus that saw the brothers pursuing production, songwriting and even acting projects, Dawkins & Dawkins returned in 1998 with Focus. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
