Carla Benson may not be a name that is familiar to many but you have
almost certainly heard her voice as she was one of The Sweethearts Of
Sigma (with her cousin
Barbara Ingram
(Ingram Family) and best friend Evette Benton) who sang background vocals
on many of Philadelphia International's hits in the 70s/80s as well as
providing backing vocals for many other artists.
The list of artists whose recordings she has performed on is a who's who

Drells, Blue Magic, Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes, O'Jays, Jean Carn, Major

Gaynor, Evelyn Champagne King the list goes on.
She has put out a new single today on Butch Ingram's (Barbara's brother)
Society Hill label. It is a new version of a song on which she provided
the lead vocals for in 1980 for MFSB on their 'Mysteries Of The World' album.
