The daughter of Ellis Hall Jr. who was with The California Raisins and
Tower Of Power (1985-88) and released several solo albums and a few singles in
80s/90s. He did a modern version of Ed Cobb's 'Every Little Bit Hurts'
in 1982, also recorded by Gladys Knight & The Pips, Brenda Holloway and Aretha Franklin amongst many others.
This is a tremendous track, sweet n deep and so soulful - sheer quality
and highly recommended. I've not heard any of her previous material
of which there are about four prior singles an EP and an Album, so I will
be investigating those.
According to BandCamp this was released in Aug 2019, but I can't find any
reference to it other than on BandCamp. I've sent her a message asking for clarification as, if the date is correct, I wonder why it wasn't included on the latest album released 30 Jan 2020?
