Tora-i (Tora Lambie) is London born and raised and debuted in 2020 with three singles followed by five track a EP "Cavalier". She released a further two singles in 2021 and her first of 2022 is "Lounging" which is alternative/future neo soul/R&B that came out on 21 Apr 2022.

Another new artist and another from London is Siobhan Élouise (Siobhan Louise Bryan) with, what appears to be, a debut release "Body On You" on 30 Mar 2022.

Nelly Moar [2022] - Rather Be Alone [Full Effekt Records]

With things tending to go quiet midweek on the new release front I'll post up a few that have been missed over recent weeks.  

Nelly Moar released "Rather Be Alone" at the end of March (25 Mar 2022). She is from Bergen (Norway) and is in her final year of a Jazz Vocals degree. This was her second single and she has subsequently released a third "Boy Bye" (all released this year Feb, Mar and Apr) and has an EP planned for June.

I think this is her best single so far.

Ensley Jade [2022] - Protect My Energy [360 West Studios]

Ensley Jade from Nashville, TN, is another new artist who has released three singles all this year. Her latest single "Protect My Energy" was released on 1 May 2022. 

It is a song she says she wrote in her car after spending months draining her energy trying to help someone out of an abusive situation that they didn’t want help out of.  She goes on to say "It’s so easy to allow ourselves to make personal sacrifices for people we love, but you must put your own oxygen mask on first to be able to effectively help someone else, and even that sometimes isn’t enough for them".

Outer Stace [2022] - Stay [Self Released]

A tune played in both the New Music Hour on 22 Apr and as a breaker the following week by Franklin Sinclair (Global Soul Radio) has appeared this week in the UK Amazon Hot New Releases by Outer Stace with a song called "Stay" which was released on 20 Apr 2022.

Outer Stace is Stacey Angela from San Leandro, CA (Bay Area) and has just released a follow up "Won't Do" today (17 May 2022) which is her third single to date that I'll post separately. Her first single was "Tonight" from 2019.

Monophonics & Kelly Finnigan [2022] - Sage Motel [Colemine Records] (Full Album)

Posting Nicky Egan's EP/album reminded  me of another Colemine release from Friday (13 May 2022) which hasn't been posted yet. It's the latest album by Monophonics & Kelly Finnigan "Sage Motel" which is also available on CD and vinyl. Two tracks have been released (and posted) as singles: "Warpaint" (15 Mar) and "Love You Better" (12 Apr).

I think "Love You Better" is still the standout track with only "Never Stop Saying These Words" and the title track, "Sage Motel", really getting much of my attention on first listen but I think it could well be one of those that grows on you with more plays.
